Edward was born 14 Dec 1944 near Akron Colorado to Harold Vernon Rose (b. 6 Dec 1916 - d. 6 Jun 1988) and Marie Hazel Standley (b. 9 Jul 1920 - d. 9 Apr 2005).

Edward Kirk Rose died 17 May 2018 at Yuma District Hospital in Yuma, Yuma County, Colorado.

Edward attended school through the 11th grade. He then joined the Air Force in January 1963.

Ed served his country from 1963 to 1969 as an aircraft mechanic. During that time he received a Small Arms Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and a Vietnam Service Medal.

After his service in the Air Force Ed worked as a mechanic, tree trimmer, worked on oil rigs, and drove a truck. He made many lasting relationships.

Edward was married to Pamela Rae Hofmeister March 1969 in Washington County, Colorado

He is survived by his son Cory D Rose of Scottsdale, Arizona and brother Rickey H Rose of Tacoma, Washington.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Marie, his brother Donald, and a baby son.

Inurnment with full military honors was held on 23 May 2018 at the Akron Cemetery.
